Microneedling Treatment

Microneedling/ Microdermaroller/CIT

Call them by any name but their principles are same.

Dermaroller is an instrument which has got fine needles on a roller stick. Microneedling and Collagen induction Therapy are done by a dermaroller instrument. These therapies are done in many skin and hair conditions.

Skin Conditions:

Conditions like acne scars, open pores, fine lines, stretch marks or any superficial scars can be treated by these therapies effectively. The basic principle behind  CIT, Microneedling or dermaroller therapies are to give minor injury to the skin so that they produce new collagens. The new collagens or the new skin formed is free from these problems. The number of sessions in each of these conditions differs. For example deeper the scars more the number of sessions. The age of scars also decides the number of sessions. The older the scars more the number of sessions . This is the reason fresh acne scars takes less time to go away. Some fine scars fades away with time due to natural exfoliation during skin turnover process. Only stubborn scars need attention.

Hair conditions:

Hair fall, hair loss, sebborheic dermatitis conditions are treated with dermaroller therapies. The principle is the same to form micro injury to the scalp to stimulate hair roots and to increase blood circulation in hair roots. Some hair growth factors are also injected to the scalp to get the best hair growth.

Sun protection:

These therapies does skin scaling and so sun protection becomes must for face. The new collagens or the new skin formed is hypersensitive to uv A and B rays, so always apply higher SPF before sun exposure.

Contraindication:

Dermaroller therapies can not be done over face if it has acne. For the treatment of acne and  acne scars, acne has to be treated first followed by acne scars treatment.
